Confidential reporting portals
Context
Organisations that invite reports of hate incidents, discrimination, misconduct or safeguarding concerns take on a duty to the people who report. Reporters may be minors, patients, employees or members of a targeted community. The information they provide is special category data, and the organisation holding it may itself be a target.
What is provided
A reporting portal with anonymous and identified routes; evidence upload to isolated storage; capture of social-media material; an immediate-advice tool; a casework back office with triage, grouping of related reports, status tracking and secure notes; reporting filterable by every attribute; and a full audit trail. Reporter identity and narrative are encrypted at field level. Retention and erasure are automated. A data sheet and DPIA are delivered with the system.
Designed for a hostile environment
These systems are built on the assumption that they will be probed, that reporters may be at risk if identified, and that the organisation’s own staff should see only what their role requires.
